Seeking lesbian and bisexual women

Are you...
. A lesbian or bisexual woman?
. Age 18 or older?

If this sounds like you, then we invite you to participate in a study focusing on your life experiences as a lesbian, bisexual, or queer woman, the challenges you have faced, and how you deal with these challenges. Participants will have the opportunity to enter a drawing for one of several cash prizes of $50.

The goal of the Rainbow Women's Project is to better understand the specific experiences of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and queer women and promote their health and well-being. We are especially interested in hearing the diverse voices within our communities.

This is an anonymous, web-based study run through the Department of Psychology
at the University of Washington. For more information, please go to
https://www.surveymonkey.com/rainbow_women, or contact the Rainbow Women's Project at wproject@u.washington.edu or (206) 543-9151. Please remember that we cannot guarantee the confidentiality of any information sent by email.

Rainbow Women's Project is funded by the Society for the Psychological Study of Lesbian, Gay, and Bisexual Issues.

Aspects of Relationship Satisfaction for Gay and Lesbian Couples (HIC# 096208B3E)

I am looking for 120 Gay or Lesbian couples who have been living together for at least 6 months to take an online survey on relationship satisfaction. The survey will take from 25-45 minutes to complete. In addition to the survey, each participant will be asked to allow the researcher to photocopy his or her right hand at a time that is convenient for the participant. Both members of the couple are needed for participation, but they do not have to be together at the time of the survey or handprint. Each participant who completes the photocopying aspect will immediately receive a Michigan scratch-off lottery ticket.

As an additional incentive to participate, I will be holding a raffle at the end of the study. Three $100 gift certificates to a restaurant of the winner's choosing will be awarded to three randomly selected individuals.

Participant privacy will be protected; I will know who participates for the purpose of the raffle, but your name will not be connected to your responses and the information you provide.
