Volunteer Opportunities

Our current volunteer opportunities are: 

Committees: 

• Fundraising/Marketing - Development of marketing materials for volunteers, community and donors, advertising campaign, publicity, maintaining our events in the various community calendars, web site updates
• Finance - Organizational and grant accounting, ensuring we comply with all state and federal reporting requirements
• Outreach - Advocacy within and without the LGBT Community, to include:  Cultural Competancy Training for businesses and medical professionals, panel discussions with various groups and organizations, Speakers Bureau, maintaining an up-to-date media packet for local and regional news groups.  Meetings for this committee are held at The Center on the last Saturday of each month at 10 am.
• Communications/Newsmagazine - This is a multi-organizational effort hosted by The Center.  Watch for the first issue to be released at the end of November 2010.  Meetings for this committee are held at The Center on the second Saturday of each month at 10 am.

Other

Coordinate or help with fundraising events.

• drag shows, gayme nights, dinner parties, bowling tournaments, etc.

Promote The Center at community events. 

• Sit at a Center Booth
• Pass out flyers and brochures at community events

Currently we seek individuals with strong organizational development and fund development experience, programming and grant writing experience.
